Space for Health has contributed to the best development project in Australia.

Every year, the Urban Taskforce honours the very best in development – highlighting projects that blend environmental sensibilites, cutting-edge architecture and a focus on serving the public’s needs. This year, they named Lendlease’s Barangaroo South as the very best, and the Space for Health team are thrilled to have designed and constructed the bulk of its medical facilities.

“A once in a generation development”

Chris Johnson, CEO of Urban Taskforce, says that Barangaroo “has triumphed as the most significant addition to Sydney’s global economic status while being an incredibly vital people space loved by Sydneysiders”.

It combines state-of-the art medical offices, expansive waterfront dining precincts, shopping centres and a wealth of residential buildings into a space that NSW Government Architect Peter Poulet calls “a once in a generation development”.

At Space for Health, we maintain a steady focus on excellence in healthcare design, and it’s an honour for our work to be part such a high-achieving development.

Our contributions to Barangaroo

The Space for Health team planned, designed and constructed the vast majority of the medical fitouts found in the three-tower Barangaroo development. This included:

  • National Dental Care, a new dental practice. It sets the benchmark for design and sustainability in the industry.
  • A new facility for the Rejuvenation Clinics of Australia, leading providers of non-invasive medical aesthetic treatments.
  • The newest branch of the Myhealth Medical Centre, which offers the highest standard of medical care.
The Barangaroo facility now offers top-quality dental care.Barangaroo offers top-quality medical services, like the Space for Health-designed Rejuvenation Clinics of Australia facility.

Better healthcare design for the heart of Sydney

Situated in the heart of Sydney, the Barangaroo towers form part of a forward-thinking Sydney – something we’re proud to be a part of. The development houses tens of thousands of employees (including Westpac, PwC and KPMG) while linking with the Wynyard Walk, ferry terminals and the latest Sydney Metro projects.

It’s a new high watermark for urban development projects, something that fits within the Space for Health ethos. Our creative, forward-thinking medical fitout projects are designed for businesses with a long-term view and a focus on modern design, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. It’s a perfect fit that we got to form part of a development which was labelled “a new international standard for urban renewal”.
